Summary

The Manager, Corporate Strategy and Stakeholder Relations is responsible for leading the corporate strategy function at NEEA, overseeing work related to strategic planning, policy and stakeholder relations. This person plays a central role to understand and distill industry trends and stakeholder needs, identify strategic objectives and future opportunities, build organizational alignment, and foster relationships between NEEA’s staff and its funding organizations. This position is an integral part of NEEA’s management team, responsible for partnering with the executive team to develop NEEA’s strategic and business plans and manage relationships. The Corporate Strategy and Stakeholder Relations function requires developing internal consulting relationships and providing thought leadership across all organizational functions to support strong planning and execution of strategic priorities and initiatives.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000

Typical day may include:

  • Leading cross-functional teams in the development of a cascading business strategy, facilitating the development and ongoing update of corporate priorities that are aligned with NEEA’s 5-year Strategic and Business plans.
  • Gathering funder insights, policy developments and industry information to support corporate decision-making and long-term planning. Synthesizing and assessing that information to identify and provide recommendations for future strategic opportunities. Helping staff translate funder and industry knowledge into their day-to-day functions across the organization.
  • Overseeing stakeholder relations strategies, ensuring effective engagements through NEEA forums.
  • Creating systems, processes, and a prioritization approach for evaluating new opportunities.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure positive and collaborative relationships.
  • Working with NEEA’s Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Relationships and Communications to support the development of NEEA’s Strategic and Business Plans.
  • Overseeing the annual operations planning process for the organization.
  • Other duties which may be necessary or desirable to support the organization’s success.

Your Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required. 
  • MBA or advanced degree in the relevant field strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in corporate strategic planning, stakeholder relations, corporate development, management consulting, finance or related fields required. 
  • Ability to effectively balance near-term deliverables with long-term priorities.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong work ethic and drive to contribute.
  • Strong relationship development and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a growth mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An equivalent combination of educations, experience and training that would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the successful performance of the essential job duties.
